Resisting the Urge and Finding Renewal During a Strategic Pause

Our bodies send us warning signs that it might be time for a break, but sometimes we ignore them because the pause can be scary. For example, if you're feeling exhausted all the time, even after getting enough sleep, or if you're struggling to focus or concentrate on anything, or if you're experiencing physical pain that doesn't seem to have an obvious cause, these might all be signs that your body is trying to tell you something.

I know for me, over the last few months, I started to struggle but resisted taking a pause. I felt like I had to keep going no matter what and that if I stopped for even a moment, I would fall behind. But in reality, the opposite was true. I began to notice I was feeling ill and couldn’t ever get my body back to 100% before feeling run down again. So as I started to push myself in the ways that I felt I needed to continue growing, I was causing more harm. I wasn’t allowing my body the rest it needed for the growth to take place. With my energy level low, I struggled to hold my highest vibration, and that was my aha moment when something needed to change. I want to be a spiritual leader and a medium of integrity when working with my clients. It’s sacred work that I don’t take lightly, and as I reflected, I was able to get out of my own way and realize a pause to rest and reflect would serve me and those I serve for the highest good of all. I share this experience with you as a message of meeting our own needs in order to live out love.

During my pause, I will:

  • Take a few courses with Arthur Findlay College. I’m excited to be a student again.

  • Get my body healthy by reintegrating my daily walks.

  • Get my mind healthy through intentional mental breaks. 

  • Get my spiritual connection strengthened and renewed by bringing in the element of fun and trying new approaches.

  • Continue my 40-day journey with more in-depth meditations and daily practice.

  • Allow myself to receive what spirit has for me instead of trying to force it along.

  • Reflect deeply on the dark night of the soul teachings and how I can better live out love.

  • Take time for self-care and rest to ensure I'm of integrity with my readings.

  • Work on my business instead of just in it, so it’s ready for new offerings in 2023. And so much more!

Taking a strategic pause is something that I think can be really beneficial for all of us. Sometimes we just need to stop and allow ourselves to rest and rejuvenate. This is especially important if we are feeling depleted or overwhelmed. When we take a strategic pause, we can assess our current situation and determine what steps we need to take next. This can help ensure that we are moving forward in a positive direction. A strategic pause can also allow us to reflect on what’s important and prioritize our goals. Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can help us feel centered, refreshed, and ready to take on whatever comes next. So if you are feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, consider taking a strategic pause for yourself. You might be surprised at how quickly you can regain energy and focus. Plus, it will give you the chance to check in with yourself and make sure that all aspects of your life are aligned with your values and goals. 

Even when we take a strategic pause, there are still ways to stay connected with our spirit. For example, taking a few moments each day to sit in stillness and simply observe the present moment can be a powerful way to connect with our inner being. This mindfulness practice allows us to move through the emotions that may come up and develop a deeper connection with ourselves. Additionally, incorporating sacred rituals into our daily lives can help us stay connected to the spiritual realm. This might include things like burning incense, taking a few moments to give thanks, or even lighting candles and setting an intention. Whatever it is that resonates with you can be a powerful way of staying grounded in the spiritual world while still taking a break from the hustle and bustle of life. So if you’re feeling depleted, take a strategic pause and incorporate some sacred rituals into your day to stay connected with your spirit. You may be surprised at the difference it makes! 

Finding renewal during a break is all about taking the time to nurture ourselves and do things that bring us joy. This could include anything from taking a walk in nature, reading an inspirational book, or doing something creative like painting. It’s also important to take care of our physical needs by getting enough sleep and nourishing our bodies with healthy food. Additionally, spending time with loved ones can be a great way to find renewal. Connecting with people who understand us and make us feel supported can be incredibly uplifting. Finally, it’s important to take some time for self-care, whether that means getting a massage or taking a hot bath. Taking the time to focus on ourselves during a break can help us find the energy and inspiration to tackle whatever comes next. So if you’re feeling depleted, take a strategic pause and spend some time doing things that bring you joy and renewal. You may be surprised how quickly you can feel revitalized! 

As I mentioned before, I experienced a lot of resistance to pausing because I felt like I was just getting in my groove. I didn't want to stop what was working and lose the momentum that I had built up. But I also knew that I needed to take a break in order to recharge and come back stronger. I finally had to come to terms with the fact that this was a necessary part of the process, and I could not continue pushing forward without taking some time for myself. Taking a break will help me clarify what direction I want to take my podcast in and how I can best serve my listeners. 

So let’s bring joy and love back into our life Love’s and live out our soul’s mission with purpose. By taking the time to reconnect with our spirit, nurture ourselves, and spend time with loved ones, we can find the energy and inspiration we need when it’s time to get back in the swing of things.
