The Greatest Underutilized Spiritual Tool is Curiosity

First - let me tell you about this spiritual tool and why it's important.

Spirit needs a way in. 

Whether it's angels, spirit guides, deceased loved ones....they can't come bust down our doors and let themselves into our house.

We have to invite them.

You probably all know about meditation, many of you know about using pendulums and doing channeled writing.

But this is my FAVORITE way for anyone to invite in spirit: curiosity.

Curiosity is one of the greatest tools we have to open ourselves up.

We don't have to have a specific vision or prayer or request for spirit to enter our lives, we just have to have an opening.

Gratitude also opens us up, but sometimes that's a harder practice to cultivate. (Thank you to our egos)

So here is my gift to you - below I am listing different sets of questions. Focus on a set, just one question, it really doesn't matter.

Then sit with those questions. You can try channeled writing. You can ask in prayer. You can let your mind wander during a walk. Again, it really doesn't matter.

The point is - if you open up in curiosity - spirit (divine intelligence or divine influence) has a way in, a path to you - your heart, your mind, your physical experience - it varies.

Questions to engage your curiosity

For the soul seekers:

• Who am I?
• What am I?
• Where am I?
• Where is my soul?
• What is my soul?
• What is my body?

For the sensory minded:

• How else can I experience touch?
• What new smells should I seek?
• What haven't I tasted lately?
• What physical experiences would I find inspiring right now?
• What is my soul calling me to listen to?

For healing our ego:

• Even when I feel at peace, is there anything I'm repressing?
• What is my ego's favorite way to trick me?
• In what ways have I made peace with my ego? 
• What does my ego like to protect me from?
  • How can I give myself safety in those situations?

Random and quirky questions:

• What colors exist in the divine realms that we don't see on earth?
• Is the flow of energy comparable to the flow of water?
• What would I create if play-doh could turn into real and useful objects?
• Who would I have dinner with tonight if I could choose anyone - dead or alive? What would I ask or tell them?
• Why do some animals mate and others don't?
• Why do I dream? What are my recurring dreams trying to tell me?
• If I could choose the ways spirit communicates with me, what would I choose?
• What can I easily do today that would bring more joy to my life?

Remember - it genuinely does not matter which questions you ask or how you ask them.

If you want to journal and meditate, great.

If you want to read this blog and hope something interesting happens in a day or two, great.

If you want to have an interesting conversation with a loved one, great.

The point is - to open.

When we get curious, we open our energetic field.

Our brain searches for answers, yes; but it also creates a point of entry for the divine.

You may be surprised what you experience. Whether you get downloads, you 'hear' spirit, you gather information from the signs you receive...be prepared for curiosity to be a tool that will change your emotional vibration as well as your connection with spirit.

My personal favorite question of all time comes from A Course in Miracles:  How can I see this differently?

(It's actually an affirmation: "I'm wiling to see this differently" - I use it both ways)
